SBC Summit has announced the launch of Regulatory Gaming Meetups for its 2026 conference in Lisbon. The sessions will run from 29 September to 1 October, offering daily access to regulators and industry representatives from over twenty jurisdictions.
Session Structure and Regional Coverage
The initiative operates from the Regulatory Gaming Meetup Lounge at F4-17. Each discussion focuses on specific geographic markets, allowing attendees to review compliance requirements and policy updates relevant to their operations. The schedule covers Eurasia, Latin America, Africa, Asia, North America, the Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Nordics and Baltics. European markets receive separate discussions for Italy, Malta, Finland, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany and DACH, the UK and Ireland, Greece and Cyprus, and the Netherlands and Belgium. Additional sessions address the Emirates, Curaçao, and India.
Confirmed Moderators and Market Focus
Industry leaders and regulatory officials will moderate each segment to maintain an operational focus. Charles Mizzi, CEO of Malta Gaming Authority, will oversee the Malta discussion. Ricardo Domingues, President of APAJO, and Luis Carvalho, Partner at Lektou, will host the Portugal Regulatory Gaming Breakfast. Paul Burns, CEO of Canadian Gaming Association, and Jared Beber, CEO of Bet99, will lead the North American Regulatory Gaming Cocktail Hour. Panagiotis Trisokkas, President of National Betting Authority Cyprus, will manage the Greece and Cyprus session. Alexander Popov, Director of Supervision of Gambling Activities at Bulgaria’s National Revenue Agency, and Ionut-Valeriu Andrei, CEO of Loteria Romana, will co-host the CEE segment. Dr Martin Talian, CEO of Kenya’s National Lottery Board, Omer Mohaban, Official Representative of Liberia Online Gaming and Casino Commission, and Ivo Bosukov, Chief Strategy Officer of SportPesa Group, will guide the Africa Regulatory Gaming Cocktail Hour. Zaza Baramidze, CEO of Random Systems Georgia, will also lead a dedicated discussion.
