PG Soft has appointed Hugo Baungartner as General Manager for Latin America to oversee the company's regional expansion. The new executive will focus on commercial growth and strategic development within the Brazilian market.
Baungartner brings over 29 years of experience in the technology and gaming sectors to the role. His previous leadership positions include tenures at Grupo Aposta Ganha, RCT Gaming, Prohards, and Esportes Gaming Brasil.
Regional Expansion Strategy
The appointment coincides with a critical phase in the regulation of Brazil's gaming sector. Baungartner is tasked with leveraging his established network with key regulatory bodies, including Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA/MF), the Federal Revenue Service, and COAF. He also maintains connections with Mexico’s Dirección General de Juegos y Sorteos and the Mexican Gaming Association (AIEJA).
"PG Soft’s brand needs no introduction in Latin America thanks to its extensive portfolio of world-class, mobile-first games that resonate strongly with players," Baungartner said regarding the appointment. "The company is only just getting started in the region, and I look forward to building on its success in Brazil while expanding PG Soft’s presence across regulated markets throughout Latin America."
Earlier this year, PG Soft demonstrated its commitment to the market by sponsoring BiS SiGMA South America in São Paulo. Based in Valletta, Malta, the mobile game developer was founded in 2015 and currently employs more than 200 people across offices in Europe, North America, and Asia.
